Eule Mailarchive is built as a local desktop app. This page explains what data the app accesses, where it is stored and what is or is not sent to Eule Consulting.
1. What Eule Mailarchive does
Eule Mailarchive connects to an email account chosen by the user, copies older messages into a local archive on the user's own device and makes this archive searchable. The app is intended to reduce mailbox size while keeping older emails available locally.
2. Data processed by the app
Depending on the connected provider, the app may access the user's email address, mailbox folders, message headers, message bodies, attachments and basic account profile information required for sign-in.
3. Where mailbox data is stored
Archived emails, attachments, indexes and connection settings are stored locally on the user's own computer or on a storage location explicitly chosen by the user, such as an external drive or network path. Eule Consulting does not operate a hosted mailbox archive for this product.
4. OAuth tokens and account credentials
If browser sign-in is used, OAuth tokens are stored encrypted on the local device. If password-based sign-in is used, the account secret is stored encrypted on the local device. The app is designed so that mailbox credentials and mailbox content are not sent to Eule Consulting as part of normal local archiving.
5. What can be sent to Eule Consulting
The website feedback form sends the information entered by the user to Eule Consulting. The app can also check whether a newer app version is available if update checks are enabled. These requests are separate from mailbox access and are not used to transfer archived mailbox content to Eule Consulting.
6. Google account access
For Gmail sign-in, Eule Mailarchive requests Google account permissions that are necessary for the Gmail connection path currently used by the app. The requested access is used only to let the user connect their own mailbox and archive their own messages locally.
7. Revoking access
Users can disconnect an account inside the app and can revoke Google access at any time from their Google account security settings. When an account is removed from Eule Mailarchive, locally stored tokens and credentials for that account should no longer be used for future access.
8. Contact
For privacy-related questions, please use the feedback form on the website or the contact details in the legal notice.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated when authentication flows, providers or product behavior change. The version published on this website is the current reference.
